Responsibilities

The scope of work consists of network architecture, operations, device management, training and maintenance services, to include the installation of Iridium or other tracking devices in both vehicle and aviation platforms.

•Candidate must provide field training to users for all devices in support of both ground and airborne platforms. This includes the training and instruction for operations and maintenance of vehicles, aviation and operations for all fixed and mobile devices to include network operations and server support.

•Deploy FSRs to support the fielding and sustainment of Iridium-based tracking, voice, and data technologies.

•Analyzes client requirements and recommends development or acquisition strategies.

Assists in developing strategic plans and concepts. Demonstrates exceptional oral and written communications skills.

•Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

•Technical training in military communications, intelligence gathering or reconnaissance systems.

•Twelve years of demonstrated experience providing training to military users on tactical communications equipment including operations, troubleshooting, basic SATCOM/RF fundamentals, device management. Experience must include operations, training, testing, fielding, troubleshooting, and field repairs.

•Three (3) years of experience with tracking systems or similar C4ISR systems. Relevant system types include: tactical narrowband SATCOM systems (Iridium, Thuraya, BGAN); handheld radios; cellular technologies.

•Must interface with various levels of military operators and leaders varying from enlisted to field-grade officers.

•Ability to work in rugged environments individually including: passing all medical requirements for DOD's "CONUS Replacement Center" (CRC); safely lifting up to 100 pounds; working in high temperatures in excess of 125 degrees; walking distances up to 1/2 mile with equipment; working extended hours in excess of 12 hours per day, sometimes at night.

•Communicate clearly in English, both written and verbally. Provide inputs to recurring reports in a clear and concise manner.

•Must be a US Citizen.

Desired Qualifications:

•Prior military or contractor experience deployed in OCONUS contingency operations environments is strongly preferred.

•Minimum 1 year of experience as a FSR or prior enlisted military.

•Experience installing / deinstalling communications and electronics equipment into tactical and non-tactical vehicles (including pick-up trucks, flatbeds, ATVs, and SUVs), demonstrated experience with challenges including deconflicting with jamming systems, mounting for low-profile operations, cable installation / termination / testing.

Education:

•High school diploma required, further advanced formal education preferred.

•Must demonstrate technical training in military tactical communications systems.
