Your Impact:

The mission of the Jacobs Lone Wolf Team is to support the Distributed Continuity Integrated Network - Top Secret Enterprise Services (DCIN-TS ES). The DCIN-TS ES is a DoD provided, TS/SCI, integrated voice, video, and data, global communications network that facilitates collaboration among senior leaders and key staff.

To be successful in this role you'll be able to rapidly adapt and learn how to operate the front and back end of new products and processes

Responsibilities:

  • Perform as senior-level contributor with knowledge and experience in local and wide area networking, communications, and related software/hardware within a multi-platform operating environment.

  • Provide support to a wide array of customers as part of a complex team of multiple contractors and government personnel.

  • Deploy and decommission equipment as required.

  • Strong Windows 10 desktop administration skills to provide end-user support. Operating system deployment and imaging via MECM, client application installation, roaming profiles, troubleshooting and peripheral support.

  • Analyze and develop new hardware requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions.

  • Direct and lead preparation of deployment plans and site installation Technical Design Packages.

  • Responsible for the integration of a network including assisting in the planning, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the corporate LAN/WAN.

  • Prepare site installation and test reports.

  • Coordinate post installation operations and maintenance support.

  • Current on most technological developments and applications and helps to evaluate vendor products to make recommendations for purchase.

  • MS Windows Desktop Support (Roaming profiles, troubleshooting, peripheral support)

  • Updating Cisco switches and routers.

  • Cisco VTC end user equipment.

  • Cisco VOIP

  • PC imaging

  • Termination of network cables (Copper and Fiber).

  • Update and complete support tickets and post installation close-out operations. Close-out operations include submitting travel receipts and travel vouchers for reimbursement, submitting hand receipts and customer signed inventories to Logistics personnel, and updating site data.

  • Direct and lead preparation of drawings documenting configuration changes at each site.

  • Assist with performing site surveys to assess and document current site network configuration and user requirements

  • Installation, labeling and organization of interior STP CAT5/6 copper, fiber and AV cabling, to include cable management

  • With assistance - Update, key, and configure crypto devices.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Experience working in DOD or Intelligence Community communications technology programs.

  • Experience implementing hardware in networks and telecommunications systems.

  • Experience in conducting stress and performance tests on a variety of computer network hardware and software.

  • Knowledge of PC/LAN communications hardware and networks in a multi-protocol environment.

  • Experience in resolving hardware, software, network problems in a variety of Video Teleconferencing hardware and software systems.

  • Active/current Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Computer Science or a related field), and five to seven years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with installation and configuration of enterprise network and systems infrastructure devices, cabling and operational best practices.

  • Understanding of Active Directory, MECM, DHCP, DNS, Cisco IOS, SolarWinds and Remedy

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification: Security CE certification or equivalent

  • Windows 10 certification - MCSA or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MDAA)

  • Ability to travel up to 75% during business hours within the National Capital Region (NCR). Occasional multi-day travel outside the NCR will be required.

  • Must have effective communication skills, be a team player and be able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

  • Valid Driver’s License

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.

Ability to maneuver in small spaces (under desks, server rooms, communications closets) while running cords and cables
