Knack Works is seeking a System Administrator with a passion for formulating new solutions to join our on-site team in Northern Virginia. The candidate should demonstrate a team-driven approach towards growth and innovation in a culture that fosters collaboration and camaraderie. Additionally, an investigative nature and strong desire to adapt skills beyond their traditional experience is extremely beneficial to identify and advance new development opportunities. As a growing company in a thriving industry our team manages several complex platforms, spanning multiple projects and customers. Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.

• Support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.

• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems through ticket and email correspondence.

• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems and assist in the resolution of Tier 3 technical fixes.

• Monitoring and tracking problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices.

• Escalate and communicate the of status technical issues to respective interorganizational personnel.

• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.

• Work through the development lifecycle with cloud technologies, including CI/CD releases.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• BA/BS Business Information Technology, BA/BS Computer Science, or BA/BS Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience

• 6 years relevant technical experience

• Must be willing to work on-site in Northern Virginia

• Experience with CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) frameworks

• Experience with RHEL/CentOS system administration

• Experience with advanced orchestration on cloud platforms

• Experience in AWS cloud platforms and associated tools

• Understanding of container orchestration using Kubernetes

• Proficiency with Git based processing

• Basic Atlassian suite task tracking systems (Jira and Confluence)

• Active TS/SCI w Polygraph required

Preferred:

• Experience operating within the sensitive government operational environment

• Familiarity with Agile principles and application

• Familiarity with Python and Go development tools
